Ha! Yes - there'll probably be something like that! And some rocky-ness (not french)...

but this is awesome! I hear ISIS bass drum tones in my head.

The Minor Concussion works great with bass, but an exciter triggered by kick mic? That sounds intriguing... So tone gets some exciter whenever the bass drum happens? Is that what you're thinking of?

And what's ISIS bass drum tones?

I'm wondering if I'm missing some things here...

some old funk tracks would use the kick as a trigger to excite the bass, so the rhythm section would sound extra fat and tight.
isis tracks always have really compressed drums to where it sounds like the bass drum is so powerful your stereo can barely handle it and everything else gets compressed on the attack. the kick basically compresses the whole track.
cool studio tricks put into a pedal is an excellent idea.

'excite' as in add some top? Or trigger a touch-wah type of thing...?

as in opposite of compression. usually exciters are rack mount units. they increase dynamics instead of squashing them.

There's this thing...
http://www.marrspedals.com/Marrs_Pedals/Seq_and_Destroy.html
... which does that kind of thing in a neat way.

I think boosting with a trigger is an obvious thing to do - it should sound great. It never quite does it for me...

Sometimes I think the Minor Concussion is all about making the drums sound great, therefore the band too. Plus I love guitar with a slow attack on a strong compressor setting; a glimpse of full volume then it immediately drops away, only to return in a powerful surge...

totally! give the drums a little room. way to make a pedal that'll make the entire band sound better!
