I know but still, they may have got this one 71.34% correct. I am imagining my Xero DLX with this.
Or imagine this running into an expresionator into a bunch of pedals

meh. it'll need that breakout box, a weird power supply, only do about a third of the stuff intelligently and be just WEIRD in the implementation of the rest.
then break after 12 days.
BOOM. EXH STYLE.

I'm thinking about hooking it up to my Expressionator and controlling my Whammy, Delay and Bitcrusher with it.
Another really cool thing is that for random / s&h filtering, phasing or tremolo it seems you don't need to buy a specific pedal anymore, just hook this up to the expression input and you're good to go.

If it had a gate....
I too I am hoping that it can be modded for a gate.
Could you teach me about this gate thing because everybody seems to complain about it and I don't understand what they're talking about, why wouldn't the pedal function as I described without this gate function and what does it do instead then?
One thing I did notice now is it doesn't have MIDI out, so controlling the Whammy is out then I guess (I don't know for sure).

Could it be possible to use this for tap-tempoing for example Strymon or Boss pedals? Because then you could use this as a way to Midi-Sync pedals that aren't able to do Midi. And I would like that.

If this can't do it my guess is probably one of those Molten Voltage things can:

I'm with Behndy on this... as cool as it sounds, I'm thinking there's going to be a 92.3% chance it has some major design flaw. The last couple of EHX pedals I purchased, the person who designed it didn't think it through all the way for practical use... so, I'm going to assume that will be the case with this (until I can try one).
Originally, I was thinking this would be something that I can slip between my expression pedal and my expressionator/effects... but looking at it it seems it's meant to replace and expression pedal and the expression pedal input is merely for controlling functions within the pedal.... I don't see any bypass option to just avoid the sequencer and use the expression pedal normal... so, in practical use like shows / setting up my pedalboard, I'll have to either a) have some junction box to switch between this and and an expression pedal for normal use (adding another pedal to an already cramped pedalboard) or b) plug this in an out when needed or c) whatever pedal(s) I attach too this would be dedicated to it.... all 3 options are lame, and if I can't just send the expression through for normal use and turn the sequencer on and off, I'll design my own and do it right.

I seriously hope I'm wrong. Maybe I need to watch the video again.

This only is like having 8 "steps" that you can use to turn a function or control on a pedal or synth up or down and won't act like a true Analog CV Sequencer that will trigger multiple functions like note on and off (gate) as well as the pitch of the note... If you hooked this up to a synth it could make the pitch go up and down or the volume go up or down or the filter resonance go up or down but you would still have to trigger the notes somehow...

Thanks for explaining!
If you for instance hook it up to a phaser with expression control over the sweep and set the 8 step to random you can get a random step phase and it's the same with the speed of a tremolo with expression control, right?

I think, it is exactly this.

No midi, no interest.

Okay, I am a guinea pig. I just bought it and the controller. I just figured with the presets being foot controllable it would be sweet to have have different beat divisions next to each other.
Fuck it, my first new EHX purchase.

Thanks for explaining. I was thinking I could just pop this on my board and have a sequenced synth thing but maybe I should just save up for one of those new Korg boxes
