depends what i'm doing. if i have to blast myself into awareness, it's the Stooges, Sex Pistols, Soundgarden, or Mission of Burma. for stuff to groove along with in the background while concentrating on something else i like old-school British rave music--Orbital, Underworld, the Orb, Aphex Twin before he fractalized--and live Phish concerts of the sort where they toy with a single chord for a half-hour at a time.

Liking analord!
Way different to my normal fare. Will have to counter with Beneath the Remains to make sure I'm not going all electro.

Every sound and sequence on those records is from analog hardware, not even sample-based drum machines were used...and the fact he (Richard D James) gave them names of malware (on #s 8 and 11, the best 2 editions by far IMO) to set off false positives in antivirus software is one of the most tongue in cheek moves I can think of in the history of modern music. Talk about infectious grooves...
And yeah, a bunch of my friends who *hate techno* succumb to the catchiness
That dude is just on another level...and makes it sound easy.
Recommend checking them all out [1-11] but like I said, #s 8 and 11 are
