I can't imagine what that journey must have been like, happy to hear she is ok!
Yeah there's some dope pedals that'll raise a lot of money. That SDD and Valkyrie ( the PLL clone) are sure to bring in a lot!
Man it's cool that things like this can happen, not only so many great builders donating pedals but so many people prepared to bid so high when a lot of the pedals they could just go out and buy for less. I was hoping to throw in a bid on something but looks like it will all end up far out of my price range

I'm so, so, so happy to read this. Posts like this let me know that we've been doing the right thing with these auctions. And let me just point out that none of the builders I contacted hesitated for a second about joining in. I would e-mail a builder about donating pedals, and the typical response was "Absolutely, how many pedals do you want?" I've also been shocked at how quickly all of the pedals started getting bids. Within the first 24 hours, we'd already raised over $7500, and last time I looked, it was over $9000. Every few minutes my phone buzzes to let me know an auction has more bids. This has been one of the coolest experiences of my life, and I'm so glad to be part of this community. Things like this restore my faith in humanity.

Oh, and I forgot to mention, I'm lucky enough to have most of these pedals at my house right now until the auctions end. The Sludgehammer kicks so much ass. I was going to keep it for myself, but I can't afford $300 for it. It's a killer pedal though. Just so thick and, well, sludge-y.

You and all of the builders are doing a great thing my brother - here's a pic of my daughter during her last chemo last Monday. She started playing violin a few months ago, about halfway through the chemo treatments. Her violin teacher is impressed - and she won't stop practicing, even in the hospital! And in my heart of hearts, I believe we are close to a cure. One of her doctors told me early on: "You should know this is a very curable cancer (rhabodomyosarcoma behind the eye and in the sinus cavity).... but 10 or 15 years ago I wouldn't have been to tell you that. She wouldn't have made it back then." All signs point to cancer-free right now.

Every day really is one day closer to a cure.
Would you mind if I shared that on the Facebook page for Circuits to Cure Cancer? That's just so touching, and it really drives home the whole spirit of this thing. I'm so glad to hear your daughter is doing better, and that's great to see she's got an interest in music too! Such a great story all around. I hope this is the last tough thing she ever has to deal with.
I would be honored if you posted this pic! I've been sharing FB Statuses from ctcc with my musician comrades, and I'll be bidding tomorrow on a couple of pedals too. :<)

Thank you so much for letting me share. Ever since I posted Maari's story on the page, the bids have been coming in non-stop. I think that any money raised today is definitely thanks to her. If there's ever anything nice that I can do for you guys, definitely let me know. I wish I made violin pedals so that I could give her one. Haha. Seriously though, your daughter seems like an incredible person. You must be extremely proud.

Both my wife and I cried when we read this Blake - we're in it to win it. Let us know how else we can help.
