What the hell is it with my threads, they always turn into me liking music by dudes with high voices and being high. And incidentally, HUNGRY :animal:

Sam Cook. Truely talent songwriter. Enough soul for a size 20 foot
Could one of you computer savy ILFer's load up some Sam Cook. Maybe mix in some Al Green and Curtis Mayfield to taste...
Soul Salad baby.

Liking what you're saying. I noticed that Youtube changed the way in which you're able to share links. Was a simple "click share, opt for long link, then copy/paste between Youtube icons on ILF". Now, I'm only able to share links by copy/pasting the URL :/
But if no one makes fun of me, then I shall grant your wishes once I'm out of school :thumb:

Also, what prompted me to start this thread is that I've been dissecting some of the smooth vocal harmonies (specifically, those of the Philly Soul stuff like The Delfonics) and learning them on my lap steel. Then I add fuzz, and loop each part, and play rhythm stuff underneath all that. I think I wanna do a soul record, with the guitars-as-vocals :excellent:

Big soul fan over here. Mayfield is my man. The production on that era of soul music was incredible.

Some great stuff there, Chankiez. Also Doc Sherm's Bill Withers selection is nice. I'm in the campus library on the comp. right now (with procrastinating college kids givin' me the stinkeye because they need to type papers as I sit on ILF), but I'ma lay some more awesome on y'all when I get home.
