There are certain artists I'd lay that kind of money out for. When Billy Joel and Elton John were touring, for example. Tickets were like 150, 175. I could warrant it for my favorite pop artist, period and one of my top ten favorite English musicians. But for an hour and a half of Prince being awkward? No thanks.

Haha, my same exact attitude towards that place.

I dunno. I'm sure most of you know the situation: You grow up with friends who also become musicians, but whereas I have always been much more of a chill 'whatever happens happens, making music is fun' type, a couple of my friends have turned into the 'I AM GOING TO BE A ROCKSTAR MUSICIAN FOR LIFE FOREVER AND THAT MEANS I HAVE TO DRINK BEER AND GET UGLY TATTOOS AND RAWKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK' types.

All of the guys I know who turned into those sorts of people have played at Studio 7. Which makes me assume that the entire audience has tribal tattoos and they all do that weird air-finger-twiddly-thing when someone is doing a mediocre guitar solo.

I have played at Studio 7 right after it opened & just about every place else in Seattle .... you people are right / the crowd there is a bit much. The sound guy there then does a better job than most places. The Moore is the best sounding room I have ever played in. I have done gigs all over the east coast & Portland, Chicago, Milwaukee, Green-Bay, Detroit area. The Moore just has great sound...

I was kind of disappointed Funkadelic was sold out on Saturday.

When he did the Superbowl halftime several-ish years ago, shit was mad nice, too. He covered that Foo Fighters tune " DA BESS/DA BESS..." (I don't like the Foo Fighters, so unclear on the name), but he murdered his guit on that song. Back when my mom smoked pot, she took me and my older brother to see Purple Rain at the theater, which would have made me 6, i believe. Upon seeing him shred it up in that movie, I've always liked the ili fella, ass-less pants or no.
