No, only ILF-approved overdrives.

Things like Keeler Designs Push or even a Tube Screamer, would sound bad because of that silly mid hump.

Yeah, that's what I meant.

I enjoy stacking my monarch or futureman with fuzz

When I stack with an overdrive, I don't think of it as a pedal. I think of it as my amp. Using an overdrive as the basis of your sound, is the same idea of usuing a fuzz into an overdriven amp. I had been using a fuzz face into a box of rock for Hendrix style tones.

The Magic Meter has been doing Magic things for me lately and I mainly use it sans FreqTrip... The Fuck and Elements are my other two... I wanna get a Pork Loin and a Giggity as well as an ICE 9 for slummin...

One of my favorite pedals to use when stacking is the B3K (or B7K). Love it.

If there's one thing excane has taught me, it's to stack the B3K or Depth Charge with everything.

I typically don't like running fuzz before overdrive in the chain. Have never liked the way it sounds. I like my fuzz going into a clean amp with an OD before it so I can the same sound but more.

None. Overdrives will always mesh well with some pedals (and amps) while clashing with others*
(*Unless you're using something like a SHO, but that only provides an external gain control to tailor the fuzz's character)

I sold a Spaceman Aphelion which was something of a magic box with Fender amps, but when I transitioned from a MV Fender to a non-master British EL34 amp...it was way too midrange heavy and nearly unusable with the new rig. Sold it, which is something I would have never done had I stuck with Fenders. But the horse goes before the cart...

I'm a big believer in EQ as being the swiss army knife "effect".

I highly recommend a Fromel Shape or Empress ParaEQ.
Something with sweepable mids allows you to quickly hone-in on the sweetspot in just about any pedal or amp. ...and from there you can cut or boost to taste, greatly expanding your favorite fuzz pedal's sweetspot and usability.

And it excels whether pre-fuzz or post.

this is very true, so i guess my original question is really dependent on the rig one is working with.
i'm really happy with my mini, but curiosity being what it is with gear sometimes gets the better of me

Monarch was inspiring because not only could you stack it well into things, but you could also stack things into IT and have them taken to the next level.

I really dig the Madbean Egghead though. Stacks well into muffs and adds focus
