Tributes are Cort guitars, right? I personally have a problem with their practices, but have never heard any major qc issues with G&L stuff. I would love to get an SC-2.

What have Cort guitars got to do with the Tribute models? I don't like Cort for the same reasons as you, so I'd be interested to know whether they treat their staff in a similarly poor manner.

Tribute guitars are made in the Cort factory

I don't have any pics on hand but I will endeavor to take some. All my gear is being moved at the moment and I am still trying to find the room for it so once everything is set up I will get a few shots. As for the guitar it's my equal number one along with my Schecter Cali Custom and there is a couple of reasons for that. I always liked offset guitars (mostly jazzmasters because I like full scale) but found them to be a massive pain. The big necks, the wide fret board radius, the stupid bridge and the weight of the guitar were things I put up with because I loved the sound and the looks but when I first played an SC-2 it was a god send. The pickups had everything I liked in a single coil except they were more aggressive, I really like the more manageable Wilkinson style vibrato, the guitar had a more "modern" neck that was instantly comfortable and playable and the guitar is really very light. It certainly didn't hurt that I'm a bit of a Robert Poss fan and that mine is a metallic purple (I nicknamed the guitar Barney). I just sort of lucked out and found something that was my perfect match. The only gripe I have is the split shaft tuners, I really do loath the design. I've got some Schaller locking tuners on order and I will see how that goes, I'm just a bit worried that I will make the guitar super neck dive-y because like I mentioned it is a light guitar.
