It could definitely be how it pairs with the Bassman. Are you using a 2x12 cab?

I have a '68 Bassman into a 2x12 and there just aren't really too many mids to be had, it just wasn't intended to have strong/present mids. I also have a '68 Super and the elements with dimed mid eq into the Super (4x10 with mid control) makes my cheeks queef.

Do you jump your Bassman's channels? If you don't or are unsure of what I mean, try using a patch cable from input 2 on the bass channel to input 1 on the normal chan, and then plug into normal input 2. Ot creates a boost (predominantly in the mids). Then use the bass channel for your bass EQ (will be much more bass control/deeper EQ options) and the Normal channel for your treble EQ.

Thanks again everyone. I was gone for a few days, but was able to play around with it some more the other night and I'm convinced that I was probably just suffering ear fatigue the first night! The mid shift isn't as prominant as some of my other pedals, but definately there and useable and my mind is at ease.

You are correct Psyre, I am using a 2x12 with the Bassman, speakers are WGS Retro 30 and a ET65, but have also tested it with my Fender x2 head, Marshall JMP-1, Jetcity JCA22H, and Blackheart heads as well.

I have (briefly) played around with the channel jumpering on the Bassman, but should really re-visit it again, thanks for the reminder! I'm not sure if I tried using the EQ as you described, I'll give that a shot as well.

My band is heading to Covenant Studios in Kansas City, MO to track drums next week, and I think I'll be taking the Elements with on a mini board just in case. :)

Just curious, would it be possible to mod the Elements so that the mids were post-gain as the bass and treble are? A toggle switch to flip back and forth would be even more amazing. Moar switchez! :!!!:
