What about other people's clips on YouTube or something? Or something that at least sounds similar to what you're looking for?

That... could work....
This is actully not to bad, but maybe much lower rate on the phaser side
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5BBvmdX0krAIts about the 4:20 mark for the fuzz and phaser/mod on.
question
just looking at it it may be a phaser i should go for.... seems ive answered my own question :P

Sounds like a plan. Now you just have to narrow down what type of phaser you want. (Which is another problem unto itself.)

What songs with phasers and/or phasers themselves have you liked the sound of so far?

uuhhhhh... honestly no idea. Its more for an effect to mess around with for my own songs.... Im feeling like this was a somewhat pointless thread to start now....

Nah, it's never pointless. You've gotten to this point, right?
I generally don't look for effects that'll make me sound like what someone else is playing, but sometimes it's helpful to make comparisons. I totally understand looking for an effect that sounds like another effect you like though. There's always something that sounds just a little bit better.
Pick a phaser, any phaser. If it has features that l you like, get it. If it doesn't work out, at least then you'll have a slightly better idea of what you want.
