sometimes i do U2 shizznit
sometimes i do the washy wall of delay
sometimes i oscillate
sometimes i multihead with two delays (LOVETHATSHIT)
sometimes i play leads with delay
sometimes i dub it up with triplets

i'm a weirdo... i don't usually use delay with distortion for rhythm, so majority of delaying for me is on clean channel :idk:

also i don't go under 300ms
I make pedal demos as East Stomp Boutique - http://www.youtube.com/c/eaststompboutique

Don't curr about tap tempo at all, really. I tend to keep the mix controls below unity, making the repeats quieter than the input signal so jank I play through it gets drawn out for a while. It's not a sustain thing, more like a murky layer of toans under everything else.
I don't ever really do the Edge-style staccato playing or the thing where you play a little passage, wait for it to be delayed, and play along to that.
My favorite way to run it is into a feedback loop, with the repeats time set anywhere from high to nearly oscillating; this way, when I engage the feedback loop it can either act as an infinite repeat switch or an instant oscillation switch.

Also, Disaster Transport Jr. all day. I fucked up an Echo Base build a while ago, but I really wanna try again. Two delays is nice.
Dirt - delay - dirt is the way to go.
All I ever really need is dirt and delay.

This is also my answer. Delay bros. Except the echo base thing, never had one, just totes want try it.

I always thought delay was cool but didn't really find myself using it until recently. As much as I like big huge ambient shit, I'm keeping that to my verb usage. On the flip side I've found a lot of use in really short delay recently. Like 100-150ms with 3-4 repeats. I really like using it when fingering on the frets and for string bending. DIY chorus, son.

Yes, you definitely are. This is a video soon after getting my first guitar, so it's not the best playing, but the sound man. THE SOUND of repeats fighting to get through a gated fuzz. Love.

Damn it, I want a legend of fuzz again.

Currently I have my Deluxe Memory Man set to maximum delay time, feedback is set right past the edge so it oscillates infinitely without getting louder, blend is low enough to sit it in the very far back of the mix. Chorus set to what my mood is. It mostly comes out when I stop playing rather than when I am playing.

Other than that I mostly use delay to obscure my playing or to add ambiance. I've never used a delay rhythmically before. Oh and I use my DMM at the very end of my chain because I like it's pre-amp after my English Muff'n pre-amp. If I want delay before fuzz... I put another one at the front of the line.

I dont have to type anything now! niiiiiice.
except the delay I have cant oscillate :( or do multi head schtuff.

But i like tap tempo. sometimes I just need it to be in time, even when its spacey feelin. and when I just want some random time, i hit the tap to some random speed. easier than spinnin a knob to me

I like to use modulation with delay. specially tremolo or flanger.
