I'd like to get a few of his pedals, but a bit out of my price range. He also builds a decent mosrite clone guitar too. Well he did. Not sure if he still does them. Think he just concentrates more on the pedals now.

He insists on making everything by hand himself, so there's basically just never enough time for him to keep up with the demand for his stuff. It's a bummer because every bass player should have a big bottom, but it's the dude's philosophy for his products, which I respect.

If there's something you really, really want (apart from the munchkin, that's out of his hands), it's worth hitting the guy up. He's a really good dude and does try to hook people up where he can, even if you're waiting a few months.

I own the fuzz munchkin, real gain supernova, od666 and big bottom now. Great stuff all of it. And unfortunately his prices are actually pretty damn good for Australia, we really get it right in the nuts with gear prices.

The philosophy is commendable but there's other people I could go to and get a custom ped more quickly for less than an arm and a leg.

I've owned a couple big mudds fuzz munchkin and a tone boost, they're all pretty good.
I like the sound on the pedals a lot for some things, appreciate that he is a small business owner with "ethics" but for a dude who makes 300 dollar straight clones, he certainly has a high opinion on the sanctity of his output.
All I'm gonna say is if the dude is getting pissed about people reselling his effects for higher values, maybe he shouldn't practice super scarce producing of units, that are riveted shut so you can't see the insides without destroying them. You know, release the schematic of the Fuzz Munchkin to kill resale maybe? Not like the ones you have won't sell. Ultima goop tactics on short run pedals...

Isn't the Fuzz Munchin schematic or an extremely close version on the big muff page?

Alls I'll say in reply to that is maybe, with the munchkin, it wasn't tym's decision with those things...

And yeah there's a schematic that's close to it floating around.
