There is band... TURBOSLUT, from Washington, I think...

A great mix between sludgecore and riot grrrls, they're awesome.

And Neurosis, of course!

In France we got Year Of No Light, a post-rock metal band, kind of sludgy!

The doom band I am in was fortunate enough to share the bill with thou at a house show in West Philly. Very intimate setting for sludge-ness.
