with the smmh
can you use all of the delays
while your looping
or if you go into loop mode
you get limited delay options

yeah, that

multitap =/= multihead, btw
Multitap here means you'll have an exactl number of repeats... don't know why they named it like that, they prolly just needed a name
also
Multitap =/= Multipass
and i totally miss my SMMH

DAMNIT
Now I really want it
I checked out some of the time bender demos and vox delay lab but the smmh seems to be pretty unique.

And yes, I loved this feature of the pedal

the dlab doesnt do that
only 3 delay choices for looping
they sound decent
but 3 out of 30
im not sure i understand why they did that
makes me want this smmh

i miss this!
i think why i flipped it in the first place was because of that whole volume drop/sterile sound business
but now looking back, i think thats part of it charm, sounding all clean like.

This thread totally makes me miss mine, it does a lot of cool shit I've never seen any other delay too, but I really couldn't deal with the EHX mix thing where you get a volume drop. JUST USE SEPARATE DRY AND EFFECT KNOBS GUYS, SERIOUSLY. Also while the looper has awesome functions it kinda sucks for just looping. Other than that it's a super cool delay, I guess it sounds very clean and sterile, but I was using it side by side with a DMM for teh mojoz analog delay so it was great.
Why do EHX make so many products that are great expect for the really stupid flaws?

not sure if it applies to this pedal, but sometimes the flaws are what make things great.

True, but that definitely does not apply here, at least not for me. The flaws I couldn't deal with were volume drop issues and the looper being difficult to use, which for me are just boring functionality things which should simply work but don't do what I wanted.

i have one & i agree with this whole-heartedly.
monkeydancer wrote:Also while the looper has awesome functions it kinda sucks for just looping.
i use mine pretty much exclusively as a looper & i like the way it functions. it might just be a matter of me being used to it & accustomed to it's idiosyncrasies because i've used it for years now, but it works for me far better than a DL4, or Headrush (both of which i've owned), etc.
