Yes. Dis my shiz
Yeah the first one is classic, my favorite piece of vinyl. I didn't like the second one as much and stopped paying attention. At this point in my life I was probably buying cds a lot more than vinyl but for some reason bought Talker on vinyl and Im so glad I did. I think I played it last week. Great fucking record. Really need to get Shorty Fresh Breath on vinyl next. On a related note, another fav from that time is Tar, I bought 2 of their albums and a 7" off of ebay yesterday. Really love the music from that time period. Hard to find stuff like that these days. If you guys have any leads to new bands that capture that kind of sound please share. I am finding myself searching for that old stuff but would like the new stuff too.taco satori wrote:The 1st Maple album is awesome, and I'll rep for "Talker" too despite my personal bias of that one being the 1st album I'd heard of theirs, and in spite of a few purists' yawns that Maple were starting to get a little too friendly, or something.
"The State..." is a stone-cold jam!
i have some Tar vinyl. let me know if you're looking for something specific (by them, or whoever), and we can probably work something out. i was way into these types of bands at the time they were active & i bought all of their records.LaoWiz wrote:taco satori wrote:On a related note, another fav from that time is Tar, I bought 2 of their albums and a 7" off of ebay yesterday. Cool links. There's a new band here in LA called Hepatitus with Kevin the bass player from the Cows. Haven't seen them yet, though.voerking wrote:i have some Tar vinyl. let me know if you're looking for something specific (by them, or whoever), and we can probably work something out. i was way into these types of bands at the time they were active & i bought all of their records.LaoWiz wrote:taco satori wrote:On a related note, another fav from that time is Tar, I bought 2 of their albums and a 7" off of ebay yesterday.
