I think the Tiny terror sounds good. The BH-5 blows it out of the water though. The stack has 2 1x10" cabs, a head with ton of flexability, and mojo for $499.

HOLLY :omg: :omg: :omg:

Well price has now become a major problem. $250 and down(but I would love it under $150). So that leaves me with:
marshall mg10, Epiphone Valve Junior, Black heart killer ant(maybe???), Black heart Little giant, Fender vibrochamp, Raven RG20, or Vox VT xl 15? Any more ??? :idk:

If ya want tubes go for the blackhearts...either looks nice.

If ya want solid state go for a roland cube. Cheap, and they sound pretty good.

Whatever you do stay away from the marshall mg. The others on the list are kinda mreh. Really depends what ya want though. That list is very varied.

I'd check out a used fender champ... It's a nice amp. If your into that Fender thing.

I picked up a Pignose GA40rv. It's 40 watts but you can get em used for about $150ish. I'm thinking of popping in 2 yellow jackets, and converting it to a 15w class A amp.

It's a pretty nice amp, but I'm changing the speakers and tubes. It's basically a fender 59 Bassman, in a SMALL 1x10' package.

Otherwise, just get Valve jr. and do the Bitmo mods.

This is harder then I thought.

I can't stress how much you don't want an MG.

Does that make me look like a prick? I hated my MG.

Do a bit of research on Marshall MG's...harmony central, the gear page, even ultimate guitar. Nobody likes them, Marshall churned out some crap amps on the hopes that people would buy it because its a "marshall"

I've never been a fan of tube amps that model so the vox is iffy...

Valve junior or a champ arne't bad...but the blackheart is the nicest imo...I've been looking into them more in my search for a better bedroom amp. My top pick from your list.

Are you going for metal sounds? Coming off a spider you'll find a buncho of these very lacking...may need a pedal or two but your tone will be infinitely better

No,it doesn't...I know a few people that bought spider, for me it's just rubbish, but so are the most other digital amps, just my opinion.I couldn't notice any difference in sound playing the vintage jaguar and later the yamaha budget pacifica tele w/humbuckers...how sick is that? :haha:

I could recommend the vox vr15 that I used for some time, the clean channel IS clean, and works well enough with pedals, considering it's size. And the dirty channel is good enough, although I didn't use it as much.

One of the old Vox Pathfinders? If you can find one used..'

Otherwise, it seems like Blackheart is the winner. Now you just have to decide which model :joy:

I don't think it's the pathfinder,I think it stands for valve reactor 15.It has one 12ax7,and sounds a little better than pathfinder,at least to my ears.
I'm not sure if it's that single tube that makes the difference, maybe the fact that it has a clean channel, unlike the pathfinder, which is a single channel amp if I remember correctly. But I still think that pathfinder with reverb and tremolo is a nice small solid state amp for the money.

But,yeah...it's discontinued as far as I know.

Well went to GC tried stuff, and now I have a vol. vs. sound problem.:
Best sound
1. Vypyr 15
2. Crate V58
3.Roland Micro cube
4.Killer Ant

Best volume(lowest)
1.Roland Micro Cube
2.Killer Ant
3.Crate V58
4.Vypyr 15

Now what to get.
PS: I tried a Black heart 5 watt combo, if I had extra money, :omg: I would have gotten it beats mesa and marshall sound if you ask me. Any help will help  :idk:

Vyper is nice bang for your buck...lotso effects/models onboard, just plug in and play. But the vyper is peavey's answer to the spider...so if you didn't like the spider I don't think a vyper is the best way to go...

Crate V series is really underappreciated. I picked up a v50 when they were on sale during the closeout for 200 bucks...I got a loud amp with great cleans that took pedals really well. The drive channel and reverb were mreh but I think crate was onto something with the V series. Shame they discontinued them.

A Cube15 might save you a bit of money unless you prefer the ulra-portability of the microcube. Otherwise, cubes are generally regarded as great practice amps.

We've already chimed in about the killer ant...still tops...but also the most expensive on your list.

Well how load does a killer ant get, please compare to another amp or any noise I was not really able to crank it due to it being another store that is between an ear doctor and christian book store.

halfway i'd compare it to normal phone conversation volume? i can get some decent breakup and still jam in the middle of the night... although it's not quiet enough to crank it. the amp full blast isn't that loud, and i wouldn't say it was enough to annoy your neighbors (just maybe anybody you live with) ...if they can live with a loud TV then you're all set though.

EDIT: do you have a cab?
