If you are feeling confident, it's a dead simple fix to give both your pedals a TP/Aenima switch, giving your husband a two-in-one TP/Aenima pedal. And you will have a five-in-one TP/Aenima/Sodameiser/Shoegazer/No-name pedal which is Aenima+ Sodameiser.

You probably figured out now that the TP and Aenima are the same circuit except for one resistor. So just unsolder R2 (the resistor that is 10k in the TP and 100k in the Aenima), and solder two wires where the resistor leads were.

Then get an "on-on" dpdt switch. It will have two sets of lugs, like this:

Just stick two resistors in between the top and bottom lugs and solder like this:

x--100k---x

Now run the two wires from your PCB to the middle lugs like this:

--wire-------x x ---------wire------
x--100k---x

When the switch is in the "up" position, the circuit will go through the top lugs and you will have a Torn's Peaker. When the switch is in the down position, the circuit will instead go through the bottom lugs and you will have an Aenima.

You don't even need a DPDT for that, a SPDT will work just as well, takes up less space, and may even be cheaper. There are a couple of ways to wire it up too. You can put the resistors in series and use the switch to short across one or the other. If the switch ever fails, worse case scenario is the two resistors are combined to a resistance of ~110K.

True, and in fact I think you tipped me to one possible way you could do it on another thread.

I just thought the DPDT way might be easiest to conceptualize and wire. But then, we have already established that I am not the brightest when it cones to switches.

You do save maybe a buck if you use an SPDT.

Anyway, the point is that Devi Ever's pedals tend to be 1) Fairly simple and small, and 2) Very similar to each other. So between joining two together a la shoegazer and/or adding a switch a la TP/Aenima, it's very simple and IMO well worth it to pack several in one enclosure and get yourself a 2 or more in a box. Any of the kits she sells where you can build several pedals from one PCB is ripe for switching between multiple effects.

Indeed you are correct, a lot of her pedals are minor variations of each other. There really is no reason you can't build the TP,ND,US,AE in one. But yes you may be correct on it being easier to conceptualize how switching between two resistors looks easier with a DPDT switch.
