Also ordered their Foxx Tone Machine clone board to build up, because I haven't had an octave fuzz for a long time. (My Dano French Toast broke YEARS ago.)

You won't be disappointed by their Tone Machine board. I built that and it is sick! I highly recommend running down some 2n3565s if you can. I managed to talk the electronics faculty at the tech college where I work to give me some they had in a bin!

I'm building up my second Tone Machine from Madbean boards. It's for Foomanfat and I'm using the 2N3536's! Highly recommended!

I guess I'm the only one that always swaps out PT2399s for the best noise performance here? I do have a whole bag of them now but even when I was buying them individually I found it very helpful to buy at least 3 for each delay to pick the best one. And that's when I was buying them from mammoth, and I swapped out a LOT of bad chips that worked but weren't great.

So I'd say you COULD just buy one, and you might even get lucky, but it's definitely not the way to go.

Also, they sell 2N3565 at smallbear if anyone can't find them.
