Also, if you're lucky, it'll be full of mustard caps.
If not, dunt the price down a bit more.
Although the filter caps should have been changed at some point -- if not that'll need doing anyway.

All the trannies are original. It was serviced by someone who only replaced what needed replacing so I am assuming that means the filter caps have been replaced. It is SS rectified and has not been modded at all. Has some new grove tubes in it. I am really enticed but I don't know if it is the smartest thing to do financially but i want! I'll see if i can talk him down

Don't assume anything! Make sure the filter and bias caps were replaced "recently". An amp that age should have had the caps done several times now. Caps only have a life expectancy of about 10 years with regular use - 15 tops. As a general rule, amps should have their caps replaced every 10 years strictly for maintenance - even if there are no symtoms. The last thing you want is a ruptured cap. Preventative maintenance will help keep your amp working for a long time to come.

Hell, I would seriouly look at taking the amp to a tech you trust to have a look at it. Make sure you get to play it at stage volume for a good bit as well.
