Oooooooooh Buuuuuuchlaaaaaaa...... Awesome. And yeah, noisy carriers are awesome!
I agree, hard to find a better option than these two pedals. As noted by nuclearfamily, Randy's will do some trem as well but I generally just use my trem for that.kosta wrote:Best ring mods to me are the Randy's Revenge and the Moog. Randy's seems to be better at cleaner more pleasant but still clangy, sweet bell-like tones, while the Moog can do some of those but then also more of the biting dischordant metallic stuff. The Moog can also be used at lower speeds for a pretty great tremolo effect.
You running Randy's pre or post fuzz? Or you have same issues regardless of placement??Wes Mantooth wrote:Love my Randy's Revenge for clean clangy stuff. Absolutely hate how it interacts with my fuzzes though. Just totally neuters them.

This is just FANTASTIC.nad wrote:I have hours upon hours of noise made with my Frostwave Blue Ringer.
Since getting a Randy's Revenge, I don't use the Frostwave too much.
I <3 ring modulation. It is the greatest thing ever in so many, many ways.
This noise/sound/thing has multiple ring modulated bass tracks:
Yeah I find that like TheOneTrue shows above I like my Rings Modulated by Synths and not really Guitar... Sylnau can make the ring sound nice on guitar but I never get anything musical out of it... While gonks, bells, zaps and all are fun it really just seems like guitar wanking to me...Narwhal-Industries wrote:Working with a few analog synths made me love the ring.
Post right now, but I've tried both and haven't liked either. I still need to try it pre- Dirge TFD though, that could sound gloriousHoly Schnikes wrote:I agree, hard to find a better option than these two pedals.
