The patchbay at the top is for CV and Audio. Some are marked out and in. So for example you could have the LFO of a Mooger RingMod control the speed of the gate on the BD101. Also you could use the sensor to control parameters on other CV pedals. Also the CV being sent can be adjusted on the back of the pedal to make it compliant with way more pedals, super smart idea.
I don't have the pedal yet but I think the Delay is supposed to sound good but really being able to do crazy stuff with it is a large part of the character of the pedal.
There are some cool sort of instructional videos on Koma's website, I am sure they are on youtube as well. Also there is a sweet video of the FT201(analog filter /sequencer) and the BD101 being used together showing them controlling parameters on each other through the patch bay.

edit: All those videos can be found here, http://www.koma-elektronik.com/products/bd101/

It's REALLY hard to get a straight delay signal, but it does a really nice slapback echo

The extended delay times get Lofi and ring modish in a good way

Phantasmagorovich and i once wrote, that it is more a noisemaker than a Delay. Delay Sound is ok, but always Kind of Noisy and it has a bleed through...
