I seriously only have three pedals that I've owned for longer than a year.

The 2525 is on loan to a friend in St Louis. You know, Christmas spirit and such. Also, that is a gorgeous Ab-synth. Amongst many other gorgeous things, that is.

Thanks, sylnau.

The Ventilator is an interesting pedal. It's probably the best Leslie simulator I've heard. As it is however designed for keyboard players, I've got a number of issues with it. When it's in your signal chain, it's definitely the dominant pedal. And by dominant, I mean fussy. It doesn't, for me anyway, always play nicely with other pedals. So, I've had to adjust all the other pedals in the chain to make things work with it.

(This might go on for a bit. Since you asked, I've got a lot to say about it. Maybe too much?)

My main guitar has pretty low output pickups. They suggest using a boost before it when using it with low output pickups. Not a bad suggestion. It's kinda difficult to dial it in though. The input of the Ventilator is pretty sensitive. There's an indicator light that tells you when you're "overloading" the input. (I kinda hate those.) What may be "overload" for a keyboard player, may not necessarily be overload for a guitarist. So, it's pretty subjective.

I haven't fully explored what it can really do that's not your typical Leslie sounds, but I'm gradually trying out different things. It sounds pretty amazing with lots of feedback, with high gain pedals placed both before and after it in the chain. I've also been playing a lot of rhythm stuff though it, which sounds great. I do use it for normal Leslie stuff when I'm playing slide and stuff like that. It's kinda fantastic like that.

So, is it worth the bucks? IDK. It pretty much does one thing really well. If you need an amazing Leslie sound, this is the pedal to get. If you only wanna get close, something cheaper would do. You can almost get there with a phaser and a tremolo. It's pretty expensive for what it does, but I had major GAS after I heard Burgs' demo. I've thought about selling it, but I eventually wanna get some organs. So, I'll keep it.

You're welcome, syl.

I'm jealous of your Demo Tape Fuzz. I'm definitely gonna pick up one of those sooner or later.

I love seeing these types of pics. I'll see what I can do over the next day or so. I finally sold a bunch a little while back so it's not nearly as impressive. Not that it's ever been great... :(
