You can split the humbuckers on the HH right? So it'd be the best of both worlds

I just can't decide what I want I guess. I mean the HH would work better for the direction my band is going, with a slower/heavier/verbed style, but when I play on my own I am usually trying to figure out how the hell to play the blues, and I love that grit and bite the Singles have.
my jag and telecaster both get plenty heavy through a big muff, just sayin'...
or this!

Ah

I thought thats what the extra switches were for- is that for phase and stuff?

Naw they're for toggling between separate tone and volume settings for lead and rhythm ostensibly. The upper horn has separate volume and tone controls from the main vol. & tone controls. The switch on the upper bout engages them. On the lower "horn" you have on/off switches for each pickup and the awesome bass cut "strangle" switch.
And hell yes - Tele's get super heavy. My G&L ASAT is heavy as hell with both pickups engaged, but then it's all super spanky with either pickup individually. I was really surprised by that.

I've been trying to figure out something else to do with the strangle switch, i never use it (what?!?! me cut bass?!?!?! oh hell naw!!!) I was thinking of making it a coil split for the bridge humbucker, or maybe figure out a way to do a phase reversal for when both pickups are on.

Rhythm circuit is THE fuzz circuit.
Low cut switch works best when your playing loud.
Everything else is to taste.
Also, the HH special lacks the best/worst part of a Jaguar: the vibrato tail.
Off topic but I had to tell the old man selling my Jag what the switches did to affect sound. Fender did a great a great job creating the most complicated guitar. Still love it.

I used to have one. One of the best guitars I've ever played. Traded it to spaceb0y a while back.

bringing it back - Im thinking about getting one of these gerts of the craigs for 500 bux. Is that a good deal? It is stock and looking in good condition. I really want to try a Jag, but I'm not sure how I will react to the humbuckers.

I would say that is a solid price after having played one. Offer $475-85 upon site?
