Ended up buying all 3 of them scooped out my lifetime saving account :picard:

Let's see which one would stay on my board. Until then, just tap water and bread crumb for the next 6 months
I'm just a bit concerned by giving out this info would give me a death threat for the demo video..

I love you.

I can't wait to hear your thoughs. I think if prices were even I might try the EAR out....but leaning towards the Lunar Echo, now. Pulling the trigger on Black Friday, hope to get some good discounts. If you can get some out the door before then, hit me up.

I like your style! :thumb: There's no substitute for side by side comparisons.

If you've gotten used to the tap water and bread crumbs by the time you make up your mind and you love delay; you can keep all of them!

MLjr can't be beat. As far as I'm concerned it's pretty much the best digital delay on the market right now. The infinite repeats are BEAUTIFUL, and the modulation is gorgeous and tasteful.

And I'm really not a fan of the Lunar Echo, sounds really thin and starts to self oscillate at like 1 o'clock.

So, out of all.. I'm definitely keeping the mljr for sure, for it's capabilities of giving me great sounding "basic" delay. Just gorgeous sounding delay with very tasteful modulation. The tap division is a big plus for making this pedal as a workhorse.

Also I'm keeping the montavillian, it's has it's own character that couldn't be beaten by the rest of these pedals. In my opinion, the long feedback sound (at the edge of self oscillating) is more dramatic and tasteful than the infinity mode on the AD4096. VERY VERY useful and wide range of tone knob, shit I couldn't get enough of this little pedal. I thought that I'll be flipping this one over to cover the rest, dead wrong.. velcro applied, it stays!

Now the lunar echo.. this chubby little fucker is something else and complicated. I must say, it has A REALLY GREAT analog sound.. in my opinion it beats ad4096 and dmm reissue that I had few years back. Somehow, dmb should do more homework on how this thing works. I mean Jesus, this pedal is temperamental and unpredictable! Especially the mod section. It will push the delay to oscillate whenever it feels like it even in the tape mode and the lower settings. The hi-fi mode is thin, I liked the lo-fi mode better. Wrecked mode is fucked up, it's not as simple as youtube's demo to get it nice and usable. Minor cons to bitch: the led light bright and annoying as fuck! Plus the finish could be a lot better, bad paint job and the sticker logo = ugly. I'm not a pro on describing it, but after few runs I've had it and packed it for return. Too bad, it has a wonderful analog sound.

The AD4096, i't's beautiful will give you a boner when you see it in person. However (never a good sign, eh?) it has this ring-y/clock noise sound on the repeats, I honestly find it annoying and unnecessary, unless we can turn and adjust it.. which we can't. I tried all kinds of delay and echo knobs combination.. off or dimed, that noise (not necessarily a good ones) is always there. So i guess this is it's "character" then. The expand switch is to be expected, use it below 2 seconds or die. I haven't found any pedal that made a usable oscillation switch which could automatically adjust and limit the level to unity when it's going crazy. Infinity mode is a great feature, too bad.. this escalates the noise even worse. They might get away by saying this as a "lo-fi" sounding delay because of this clock noise, whatever.. as much as I love dark/old analog sound, I hated this one. I'll give it few more weeks of trial cos it's pretty (shallow? who the hell cares haha)

Highlights:
---------------
MLJR :
- Really great delay & modulation sounds
- Beautiful work of construction, great build quality
- Pretty sure this is a great go-to delay pedal for live

Montavilian Echo:
- Gorgeous sounding delay like nothing you've ever heard
- I was hesitate, but then found out that 600ms is more than enough, haven't dimed the knob yet.
- Great construction and build quality
- These 4 knobbies will take you further than you think, huge array of delay sounds could be achieved from the different combinations.
- If only this thing has tap tempo, I will be happy like a panic fish being thrown at the pavement
- I put this thing in short delay, darker tone with long feedback after the MLJR with longer delay time and moderate modulation, and turn both on together: i spill cum from my eyes! I cried and ejaculated simultenously.

Lunar echo:
- Great sounding delay, i think it's the chips
- Great modulation if you can tame it, short usable headroom (wrecked mode)
- Very temperamental, you might wanna be careful when playing dynamic on your guitar to avoid oscillation
- You can even hear it oscillates in the background when you turn the pedal off
- Finding a sweet spot could be a pain in the anus
- Ugly build
- Ugly graphics

AD4096;
- One of the sexiest looking pedals
- Don't really fancy the sound
- Infinity mode is nice and cool
- Noisy delay trail
- Gimmicky expand switch
- Would be a great gift for the elderly with impotency problem

It's just my amateur opinion from my unprofessional perspective, sorry I'm too lazy to make a shootout video. So the MLJR and Monty wins my heart and will stay. Hope it helps or ease the gas, at least.

Bummer about the Lunar. Been really gasing for one..
And a El Capistan is not really my thing it seems, to many settings. Too Fancy. I don't wanna think about that while playing..

Yeah, strymon stuffs sounded cold and the menu digging could be a hassle and distractive. You should go and try the cb montavillian echo. You could get either nice raspy tape sound, or analog sounding with the simple twist of the tone knob.

I might take advantage of the Prymaxe bf stuff to get a MLjr and have a shootout with the Lunar Echo.....

I've had the el cap. And I thought it was cold. Most people think I'm crazy, but the deep blue delay clone I had sounded better to my ears.

I've got a Monty coming. $130 blem from CB. And I'm super stoked.

I'm also all cleared out of gear in prep for their Echorec on Friday!! :)

Ill check it out, dont know anything about it. Thanks!
