I know the other drama being referred to here, PCE, and have you guys seen today's development with the email and the immediate shipping.. I think that guy just went from 'in-over-his-head' to full of shit.

Geez I get caught up in those scandals and enjoy gossiping about those donkies! *embarrassed* TGP just gets me fired up... there's a thread on smd components that's been driving me nuts and I think I'm gonna have to post in it...

It sucks he's got your money, Jock, and I hope you get your pedal or your money back soon. I never mean to make light of this stuff either, I really think it's awful and unacceptable. *commiserations*

I posted this earlier but it disappeared.... maybe a sign to stop the gossiping! *scary music*

Although I don't really think it's gossiping since you guys really did get wronged by people who really are buttheads...

Disappearing posts, yikes...I'll be brief then. 8)

Yesterdays occurance was the last straw for me.
I emailed him with a few explitives and told him that I was done.
He actually replied saying that I didn't have to be an a-hole and could've just asked for a refund.
Ha! If you checked the threads, he still has outstanding refunds existing.

Such a wasted opportunity.

Sounds to me like he's done you a favour in the end.
If you received the pedal then had problems a few months down the line I can't imagine his warranty and customer service to be up to much!
Buy an elements instead!!!

If you're still after a Klon clone there are stack of dudes in the Shark tank who could do you one cheaper, probably better, and in a reasonable time frame. Otherwise, there's plenty of cool low gainers round the ILF builders (and other favourites) that'll do something different, but similar. The Good Doc's Elements is good at low gain and not just for Slayer - although it may convert you to playing Slayer covers full time if you start tinkering with it...

I think anybody who wants a Klon clone and is happy to spend over 200 dead prime ministers on one should get a KTR from Finnegan. Say what you will about the drama, the hype etc, he's an honest guy who built a great pedal and deserves the support. You won't be disappointed or left hanging with the real deal.

The KTR is purchaseable? Cool!

Not that I want one, it's just kinda comforting knowing it exists.

Actually Jock's got a Frazz too.. and soon a v3 Cosmi... shucks you're cool! *smiles and more thank yous*

KTRs were being shipped like crazy last week, lots of TGPers got one and apparently they do sound identical to the big box version. No surprise there, SMD stuff isn't unpredictable wizardry, no reason it would sound any different with Bill's attention to detail. Still surprised about that text though!

I'd like to have a KTR and see how close I can get with the Elements, just for fun kinda thing. My pal down the street probably has one ordered so I should get a chance to do that...
