I've been pondering boosts. Any other thoughts?

I like the looks of the 4 banger.

No, seriously, I have a guitarist friend who really loves his. Did you ever try one out?

This same friend just had a Roland Bee-Baa clone built for him by John Lyons. John added a separate clean boost stage based on... something classic... that my friend says is unbelievable. I'll have to dig through and see if I can find mention of what it is specifically.

Ok, i just read through the thread and the beside that 100$ mark, i would suggest these ones:
ZVex Super Hard On - does a little bit of treble boost in a sexy way. I really like that one. It is also great to run line signal and already recorded stuff through it.
Divided by 13 Lift - pure clean boost without any coloration. Never heard anything better.
SS/BS Sparkle Motion - not really clean but absolutely awesome to boost your tube amp. Tone with its own flair from thin to fat - tweakable in a wide range.

Do not own any more (cause the SHO blew it away):
Xotic RC Booster - really clean, no dirt and no coloration in the "knobs at noon" setting. Very tweakable to adjust the sound.

I've never dealt with Soulsonic, all I write here is from hearsay, but there was lots of bad talk on other forums that people paid him and never received their money, allegedly. He posted on TGP that he was robbed by a guy with a gun who also took his computer or something. Just saying. :idk:
Would like to try his dirt pedals though, website looks good, but there are no prices up there and no "buy" function?!

A really fat clean boost is the Way Huge Pork Loin, incredible! Check it out if you can find a used one. Has internal trimmers so you can use it as a clean boost or overdrive and anything in between, with clean blend control. Bought one used and didn't expect too much and now it's not going anywhere.
