I hear what you are saying. And I think getting another synth is a great idea, you can't have enough of them. But There are things that can be better played on a stringed instrument vs a keyboard so I think both is a good idea.. and also you might want to check out a midi converter/pickup too that way you can control the synth with your strang-ed instruments too also running a bass through the audio in of a moog and controlling the synth via midi is pretty fucking sick

Why isn't everyone using those! Wow, even on guitar it sounds awesome, seems sort of hard to find, but the filters sounds pretty damn gooood.

not saying u specifically, but ppl on here be talking about $500-$1000+ guitars n amps n shit....MOST synths aint that pricey esp on the used market..and if all fails, just cop some soft synths for free (pirate?) n get a cheap controller... BOOM bleep bleeop zoink paradise.

hell u dont even really need a keyboard...the beauty of a synth is u dont need any keyboard skills, just smash that one note down and turn the knobs and fly away

ive also been noticing this trend in general of ppl wanting to get into synthesizers, huge uptick in the last couple months, all over facebook n shit. maybe its time to flip the script....no synthsss!!! (lol, jk i could never do that)

I don't know honestly, it's the whole "It's ugly and it's yellow and it has to suck" - I've used one on guitar (mostly) and bass since they came out. Even the various other effects are decent since it comes with a bunch of low-pass versions of effects too.

Even my GR-55 actual guitar synth, which does amazing, amazing things, hasn't made it totally obsolete - run a GR-55 into it and damn, the world explodes.
