I don't have a picture of it, but i had to sell a Blueridge BG-160 slope-shoulder acoustic a few weeks ago to help pay for my relocation that it REALLY hurt to sell. i got it for less than $600 used, and it was just wonderful, great tone, good frets still, and gorgeous rosewood back/sides with a PERFECT sunburst on the top. i'm gonna miss that guitar.

i have a "one that got away' story
when i went to get my first guitar
the day of my first lesson in1991
there were 2 that i really wanted
a black and gold flying V(make unknown)
and a ventures model mosrite with the killer trem
right next to each other
ponytail douche lesson guy said that they werent good beginner guitars
and i should get somethin like THIS
he picks out a red hondo strat copy
the flying V was $199
the hondo was $199
and the mosrite………..$299
it haunts me to this day
but if i had gotten it that day
it would have gone back when i got sent to rehab like the hondo did
and i really would be pissed
but someday ill have one

not a guitar player, but I did own one exactly like this. a '59 with factory Bugsby.

Years ago when I moved back to mass., I started playing with an old friend's band who needed a bass player. We played in a garage behind some three deckers in a crappy neighborhood, and I went out and bought an early 80's Ibanez bass and a vintage EG combo bass amp; 60 ss watts through a single 15". One weekend I went to upstate NY to party with friends...brought the bass home but left the amp at the garage.
Some butthead burned the garage down...3 alarm fire left a pile of grey ash. Of course we were all psyched no-one in the neighborhood got hurt, but none if us were in financial shape to be replacing our rigs.
In later years I discovered that EG was some Ampeg off-brand. I have a tape of tunes we made with a shitty tascam 4-track, and despite being a far better player with way fancier shit now, it's still some of the best tone I've ever caught.

i've been after a tweed Gibson amp with one or two 12s in for decades...i played one when i was 15 or 16 and it was the most fun i've ever had with an amp. it did the Cream Wheels of Fire sound PERFECTLY. of course, back then they were $100 and now they're $1200.

well, i don't really have the skills to build an amp...i'm good to rewire guitars, but haven't ever even built a pedal so i'm concerned that i'd electrocute myself. it's occurred to me that i could have one built as well.
