That is very true as well. Whatever happened to being unique!

Like a passive box with one switch, and multiple independent outs? or external source?

Like if this was a Delay and Fuzz and Phase and Trem and you could patch the flow yo self...

external patching it's the sex  , but instead of a big modular box, i think a matrix controller with cv controls that routes the pedals for you and also routes cv connection to some parameters of each channel

i've been falling in love with cv and sequencers, kinda make the pedals speaks a secret language betwen them

Way too big enclosures for simple circuits, and it's not a shitty big muff

I'm thinking the former. Suppose you had a tap tempo switch like the boss fs-5u that you have plugged into the tap tempo inputs of various pedals (using signal splitters), then on the individual pedals you could have a tap tempo divide function that set the modulation at some rate that was a multiple of the time you tapped.

In theory you could have a bunch of time based pedals no bigger than "standard" sized pedals that you could control using a single tap tempo instead of tapping individual rhythms into each one; with all the modulation in perfect rhythm in relation to each other.

If this actually became a trend fancy master tap tempo boxes could be made that could be set using external midi or cv inputs.

More bass. Also the CV thing, sync-ing up CV pedals is wicked fun.

Dual parallel fuzz. There are a few out there, but not nearly enough.

Shit yeah waveforms, I missed that. Mod pedals need to get more involved with cool waveforms. Thankfully that actually does seem to be happening.

boost functions. controlling the level of the effect to either be below or above unity gain.
