Since you have one guitar with single coils, one with a p90, and one with humbuckers, why not just leave the buckers in and keep the variety? & this post is coming right off of playing single coils for a while then back to buckers for the first time, I'm not surprised you don't like them right away again, but that doesn't mean you'll always dislike them.

Yeah. I'd definitely thought about keeping the humbuckers in, and while I was routing out the cavity of the Jag last night I kept the screw post holes in tact so I could always go back. If I do go back to Humbuckers I think they'd most definitely be wide range, cause they sound great and a lot more dynamic than regular humbuckers.
This is what happened last night:

Cut the rings from some spare rolled aluminum I had laying around. I haven't gotten a chance to play it for more than 5 minutes, but it seems promising. We will see! If these don't work out I'm going to get some Guitar Fetish WRHBs I think.
I just can't get humbuckers to feedback and make noise like I can single coils, and I think that's what's been making me side more with singles.

such is the nature of hummers... you will also notice this if you have a pair of single coils activated (middle position on a Tele, Jazzy or your Blacktop, for instance, or positions 2 and 4 on a Strat 5-way, etc etc)... the same phenomenon that cancels the hum also greatly squashes the tendency for the pickups to feedback.
Also, mad

for lipsticks in the Jag! (a.k.a. you read my mind

)

It's funny cause when I first started playing guitar I used to HATE the thought of playing through single coils, Fender guitars, etc and now its all I play through ahhaha
I can't wait to test this out tonight. I hope it rules!

Those single-coils look groovy. So so groovy. Makes me want to shake my rump to the grooves.

Not sure what kind of drugs you're on today, but I think you should pass some over here.

I'm lying alone with my head on the phone
Thinking of humbuckers till it hurts
I know you hurt too but what else can we do
Tormented and torn apart
I wish I could carry your smile and my heart
For times when my life feels so low
It would make me believe what tomorrow could bring
When today doesn't really know, doesn't really know
I'm all out of humbuckers, I'm so lost without humbuckers
I know you were right believing for so long
I'm all out of humbuckers, what am I without humbuckers
I can't be too late to say that I was so wrong
I want humbuckers to come back and carry me home
Away from this long lonely nights
I'm reaching for humbuckers, are you feeling it too
Does the feeling seem oh so right
And what would you say if I called on humbuckers now
And said that I can't hold on
There's no easy way, it gets harder each day
Please love me or I'll be gone, I'll be gone
I'm all out of humbuckers, I'm so lost without humbuckers
I know you were right believing for so long
I'm all out of humbuckers, what am I without humbuckers
I can't be too late to say that I was so wrong
Oh, what are you thinking of?
What are you thinking of?
Oh, what are you thinking of?
What are you thinking of?

Now that you have an ECT, it doesn't matter what kind of pickups you have, you're gonna get feedback
