Ah, but now we're getting into subjective territory here! While I would agree that Going Blank Again is a better-performed album (and "Leave Them All Behind" would be in my top 5 songs list), Nowhere was my first Ride album, and its impact on my young brain can't be underestimated. Hearing "Seagull" for the first time was like hearing Hendrix's promise of a "sonic church" come true for me (sounds overdramatic, I admit, but again - I heard the album at age 16, which was a pretty overdramatic time for me). To me, Nowhere is, and always will be, one of the crucial turning points in my listening history. If I was ranking my top 5 albums for real, it would probably be disc #1.

So there ya go - more information that you probably wanted! :haha:

yea man!! That album reaks of cool riffs, loud guitars, and soft vocals. Classic shoegazer from the early 90's. I can't say enough good things. I'd say one of the more underrated quality shoegazer bands.

Sonic Youth- Rather Ripped

This album is awesome. It's definately third to my two favorites Daydream Nation and Murray Street.

Kenotic by Hammock
The Shorter Story by Whence He Came
This Beautiful Mess by Sixpence None the Richer
Moon Shadow by Midsummer
The Angel Pool by The Autumns

Really tough to pick only five, but those would get me through.

Well Rather Ripped IS amazing but I find it gets old, it's not as timeless as Daydream Nation, Dirty or even Sonic Nurse

...OMG new Sonic Youth album comming out 2009!!!!
