Welp I think Im gonna pick up a power supply. Now are there better/worse ones there is a dunlop dc brick in b/s/t as well as a fuel tank chameleon but dunlop is significantly cheaper so obviously I would rather buy that one unless their is some unseen trickery in power supplys that make that one suck? Thanks for all the help dudes.

The Dunlop isn't an isolated power supply, so you can still run into common ground problems.

yeah, if it's cheaper than like $100, chances are it's not isolated. i'd say your best options are a pp2+, fuel tank, or cioks... all depends on how much you want to spend/what you need. keep in mind power supplies are hard to come by if you're looking for a used one in online forums. that frustrated me for a little while..

I found the same, even put out a WTB thread

this is a really good deal, you should google that supply and see if it's what you need.

Mmk so since I added the verb to my pedalboard (which is powered by my onespot) I've been having this weird issue where my bypass signal is way too quiet.
Like if I just turn on my AD-9 the volume comes back up to normal, same with my OD808, but for some reason my fuzz is way too quiet without one of those on
Is this a power supply problem?
They're all plugged in out of order and stuff on the daisy chain and they're all true bypass

I was getting so much wall noise and groundloop noise from using a bunch of pedals daisy chained.
And the power at our rehearsal room was so noisy it drove me to getting a regulated isolated power supply (cioks) which cleaned up most of the noise.
But check it; I don't use it any more. I'm all about 9 volts now! yeah thats right! no more fistfulls of wire onstage to get kicked out at an inopportune moments!
Take that mother earth!

I remember having this problem when I added a deluxe memory boy to a board that I was daisy-chaining. I'm still not completely sure what the problem was.. (I used a lot of sub-par cables back then(wait I still do that)) but the one spot may not be able to handle all the pedals/is taking power from other pedals when they're not on and fucking with the actual signal, if that's possible.
I always found that with the daisy chaining system, the more you add, the more problems you get. I wouldn't say go right now and buy an isolated power supply, because there could very well be another solution. BUT I do know that when you get an "better" power supply, there's really no more playing the "guess and check" game, at least with your power, when something goes askew.

right now i got the bs situation daisy chain off a cheapo 9v wallwart,
another 9v wallwart for delaylab cause it NEEDS isolation,
and 2 18v ww's for pig pedals
all off a $3 power strip
if you think im gonna say "it works fine, stop your whinin bout a little hiss"
im not, i have to keep the volume pedal rolled back to keep the noise down
everytime ive sat down to finally purchase a decent power supply
ive spent the loot on another pedal instead
what always stopped me was thinkin i needed the max # of outs possible
someone put that to bed for me though, chain the quiet ones off one out
isolate the noizees
Is it a bad idea to chain a 9-18v and a12-18v peds from one 18v out on a decent P.S.
thanks for all the info

I'm not sure about chaining different voltage peds on one 18v chain... you would have to be positive that the lower ones can handle it. Other than that, it seems like it should work.
It really all depends on what/how many pedals you have. Before I got a pp2+, I was using exclusively a fuel tank jr with a couple boss pedals, a fuck overdrive, organizer, rrr, freeze, and a simple fuzz. I would daisy chain the boss guys, freeze, and the fuzz together while using the remaining four outputs for the rest. This method can be limiting if you choose to use a 5 output supply and constantly acquire pedals/add to your board. But if you have one or two problem pedals and plan on keeping like, 8 at the most on your board, it's a pretty good (and less expensive) method. Seems like for you, if you have a few pedals with higher voltage requirements, a pp2+ would be the best bet unless you want to go all out and just buy a cioks or something. You can always isolate the higher voltages and chain the leftover 9volters.
Having an isolated supply is also always a good safety net if say, you do get a new pedal that you plan on using live and have a show coming up or something and all of a sudden that new pedal doesn't get along well with the others in the chain. That sort of thing instantly started making me feel better about spending the money, because I've run into problems like that before.

This and all the BC said. I liked using One Spots, still own them, but LOVE my power supplies.

As it just so happens I'm in the market for a new power supply because my DC Brick crapped out over the weekend. I have a couple of pedals and a tuner that don't play nice together so I'm going for an isolated power supply. Has anyone tried one of these:

10 isolated outputs for around $90? Too good to be true? Am I just chasing rainbows and unicorns? The only downside I can see over the Voodoo Lab PP2 is the wall wart adapter, which for me isn't a huge deal for the savings. Here is the website:

Rob, the Joyo PS is more than likely a "copy" of the Dunlop power supply. It will probably get the job done, but it probably isn't isolated. Anything that uses a small plug for the power in makes me wary.
If I were you, I would keep saving up for a PP2+ or similar.
