Phew!
Thanks for the pizza-soul confirmation Ryan. Now I don't have to feel guilty about using the Elements. Picked up an RRR too mu hu ha ha... EXTRA PEPPARONI SOUL!

I think if your gonna make a mini rrr one it should have a foot switch so it would be like a preset control.

Re: tiny expression pedal to use with elements.
Alrighty, I've got the stuffs ordered to make some mini expression knob boxes! I've ordered the 1590LB and 1590BB and 1590A, the three smallest boxes, and some big knobs and some smaller knobs with rubber donuts, all in the mail now.
I should be able to do some options for the placements of stuff so I probably won't pre-build these, I'll let y'all tell me how you want 'em.
You mean you'd like the option of where the pot goes on the box? I think that's reasonable... these are super simple devices, just a pot and a jack and 3 wires, so I think we'll have some options for placement.
Cool Greigy, thanks! Hope you dig the RRR! (you get a pyramids one?)
These won't be used with the mini-RRR, there's no room inside the box to put an expression jack. Plus this little knob in a box idea couldn't change reverb patches, that takes a complicated diode matrix and 4 pins on the reverb engine.

Nah im talking about using the rrr sized box as a expression switcher...similar to the second idea here http://www.neunabertechnology.com/suppo ... ion-inputs

Ohh ok, that's cool, a box to switch mix settings hey... like have it click between 25% wet or 75% wet or whatever.. sure!

Yea for the elements or different rates for the cosmi or different depths for the trem...nobody makes a box like that afaik

Yep, it sure is pyramids! Traded a Heliotrope and some moneyz for it. I currently have it pre fuzz and honestly, I can't work out what these ILF pre fuzz reverb homies are on about - it's all about the post fuzz love! But I can't move it yet because the power cable I have is too short haha - so I'm only using it on clean parts at the moment. But I've got some more on the go soon. I don't want to hijack this thread any more than necessary but it is a shockingly natural sounding pedal, I like it at least seven times more than other reverb pedals, probably even eight times. I've got a Z.Cat Big reverb on the board as well for "was-that-a-guitar-I'm-not-sure-it-was-hidden-in-a-wall-of-ridiculous-reverb" special effect style verb, so now I've got both bases covered. Life is good! Can't work out whether I like H1 or H2 better, which is keeping me awake at nights.

Bruh where ya been?
This one is stealing all my time:

I mean I'd like a box that can be positioned such that the knob is on top or on the side. Rotatable.
So it could go like this:
and like this:
I don't know how it'd work, though.

Re: tiny expression pedal to use with elements.
The top one would do it. Topmount the power jack and you can rotate the box. Though a square enclosure would be better than rectangular for stability's sake.

Re: tiny expression pedal to use with elements.
One thing which WOULD make it unique from the others would be to have multiple smaller knobs, although I have no idea if that would even be possible. Give it a footswitch, and have it change multiple settings. It would be amazing to to switch between a high and low gain setting and ALSO change the mix with a single click, etc.

Right on, Matt, I'm really glad to hear it! Haha those pre-fuzz guys are a special breed, that's for sure! *smile* I love that experimental style though of trying anything! H1 and H2 are my faves too... I actually haven't slept since I made the pedal in 2005 and could never decide which patch I like more.

Very many congratulations, that's a great looking baby you guys made there!
As for that multi knob box.. how does that work! All those pots have to be connected together.. so they're all in parallel and each ones setting would affect the others... it's early in the morning and I don't really understand how you'd make that work reasonably. I'm really just looking to keep it very simple with these, just a pot and a jack kinda thing. Also mine will be passive, no power connection, mix expression controls can't have power or ground connections, just a passive variable resistance.

This is a fun idea but this is way beyond the scope of what we're doing here with a knob in a box... you'd need a 4 pole switch just to pull that idea off, plus all the wiring and fixed resistor connections, you'd need a pcb for it! And the idea of a bunch of smaller knobs to twiddle the controls... wouldn't I just be building a second version of the same Elements pedal, just with outboard controls? What's wrong with using the small knobs and switches on the pedal itself? *smile* I'm really not looking to dramatically complicate this idea of an expression knob in a box, I like that simple plan.
Parts should arrive this week for anybody interested in a knob in a box!

They didn't have white sparkle in their choices but I asked for it in my order note and they made it happen! So that little white one can be yours if you like, Brad.
