Yeah, the more I think about it the more I'm against it. This wouldn't save you from completely rewiring power each time you changed things up, and you would lose a lot of space on your board to the puzzle piece things that hold it together. Yeah, nice in concept but it's not there yet. And how are you supposed to move it? Assemble it on the back of a poster and carefully carry it to band practice?

A good pedal board means you can pick it up, turn it upside-down and shake it and nothing falls off or comes lose.

Not only how to move it, but the main goal of my board since I'm a bedroom player is to keep pedal in a safe place away from dust.
This is just a big NO.

man i hate lava cable stuff

this thing looks so stupid
it's thick
no place to put a power supply
no case that would be reasonable
and I don't think it would ever be as modular as you think, unless every pedal had an individual power supply and of course if you wanted to individually Velcro each modular part

it looks cumbersome and stupid

on a positive note I think my kids would like playing with the blocks

it feels good to be in on the joke

I actually saw a board built of legos on the effectsbay.com

here it is
pretty good stuff lower profile and can add height where you need it

This! Also, have you seen boards using those? They look like ass. Just, bad aesthetics.

If the blocks were multicolored.

Green for your tone dentist overdrive, blue for vintage Boss Chorus.

And you could rehouse the pedal *in* the plastic case.

Maybe.

yeah those builds are rad... the IKEA board falls within the first "diy" category of pedalboards, like mine :thumb:

I don't get it.
If you were going to do this, why would you do it so poorly?

I have a Lyt 16 as my "big" pedalboard and use that all the time, when the Pedaltrain Mini won't work.

I agree with everyone else in the "good on paper" type argument. The biggest negative I see is no case for these. You're going to offer six configurations but no case to carry them in? That's just lazy.

These blocks have very little to offer. I rather take a pedalboard in a huge aluminum case for me, please. Or two smaller ones.
