I'll add in the TC hall of fame. It packs a LOT of sounds and most of them sound pretty damn good for the price.

I got a mooer shimverb. cheap, shimmer can get a tad trebly but i use it with my RRR together, i get some really good ambient and gazey sounds out of the pair. when i turn up the spring reverb on my fender pa it gets really washy and just delightful.the hall setting on the mooers good too, its got spring but u said u didnt like that so i guest thats irrelevant

to start out with, in general i like my verb to be a little darker than my regular signal so it gets washed out a bit while retaining some original signal clarity. i also dig longer decays in general since i use reverb as an effect, rather than part of my base tone. for recording, etc the more controls the better, but for me as a live player simple is the way to go.
*boss RV-5 is great and simple. good for basic verb, has a tone control but can't get insanely long trails.
*dr scientist RRR is also great and simple. more preset options and it's got a great boost in there, but no tone control which is a bummer since overall it's a little bright for me.
*line6 verbzilla is actually pretty rad. cave setting is fucking boss and i really like the flexibility in general. cons are the fugly enclosure and mine randomly died one day and now only spits out white noise.
*behringer RV600. copy of the verbzilla - sounds pretty similar and is cheap as shit, but the case is cheap and the bypass is terrible.
*eventide space is awesome, yet cumbersome. so many cool settings and interesting parameter controls, ability to save presets, etc. excellent recording tool, but too big and complex for me as a live pedal.
*TC electronics HoF. only tried one in a store but it sounded pretty awesome, is dead simple, has huge decays, a tone control and can sound either really natural or unnatural. will likely be my next verb purchase.
*EQD dispatch master. just got one in a trade and it's already on my board. cool simple pedal with a pretty decent decay and added delay. would be interested to check out the ghost disaster since it has a few more of the controls i like...
*alesis nanoverb. holy balls incredibly huge decays and super cheap. it's a rack unit so that sucks and there's not really any control over the sound other than the decay.
*roland space echo. no explanation necessary... the coolest.
can't think of any others i've used at the moment that aren't spring based or something.

Dang. You guys are way more intense about reverb than I anticipated. Dunno what to do with all the suggestions

Hbomb - I can't listen to your demo since my iPhone doesn't play flash or whatever it is, but you pretty much told me what I want to hear about the Boss. Sounds like what I'm after
Brian I think we're on the same page here too I'm not looking for like a subtle sound at all (otherwise I would use my amp reverb). I want it to be a pretty intense effect without completely drowning my signal. Think an RV-3 is cool for that? Or should I go with the 5? The 3 just sounds really cool to me. The modulated setting on the 5 sounds like I would use it a lot, but I would sacrifice that for one spectacular sound on the 3 if there's a big difference..
I should have also said in my first post that I'm kinda done with "boutique" stuff. I don't want anything super fancy, just a cool verb with a big spacey sound that won't break

DUDE THE MUZA.
1. Cheap
2. Built well despite
3. Better individual control on reverb and delay
4. Can get huge & ambient as fuck
5. Has presets
6. Lots of types of verb - including reverse, gate, and modulated
7. Stereo ins and outs
BOOM.

+1 for the Muza
If you're even considering the rv-3 you have to check out the muza fd-900, it's huge sounding with adjustable tone and decay. Plus it has some pretty cool delays. Only downside is there's a chance you'll get one that has a little background noise. But it is shoegazey as fuck.
I wouldn't rule out all "boutique" stuff on principle, there's some cool shit out there. Plus whenever play out people look at your board like

and who doesn't want that
I wouldn't suggest the ghost echo because I've noticed that when you really push it gets this weird clipping thing going on.

How does the Muza fare with dirt being ran into it?

Woah that's actually really awesome sounding. Especially the reverse stuff. I really don't need another delay at all but dat reverse sounds sweet.
Those concentric pots and buttons have me a little worried though. I really really think I would break that.
This just got complicated

Looks like I'll be giving Skullservant's Rub a Dub Reverb a go. I bet it will sound awesome with my AD-9
Just watched his demo again and I'm pretty stoked it sounds great and will match my OD808 clone perfectly

I've been eyein that for a while. It's the best price I've seen, but I dunno if I should spend the money right now

I have a Strymon Flint and love it. I was going to ditch it once Demon666's Space lands in my hands, but I think I might just keep both. Fuck it.

Maybe you shouldn't, but I wish you would.
