Re: Tronographic Rusty Box
Got my Rusty Box today. Played it after I got home from the big art show.
This is one hell of a pedal.
I guess I would say that there is fatness, clarity, headroom, openness, touch sensitivity, and I would say that it takes pedals well. I was playing through a very low wattage tube amp and it really seemed to open things up.
Sounded great on both guitar and bass but I have been playing my bass through the guitar rig and this really got the bass less muddy and more effortless in a way.
Great. :bob: :bob: :bob: :bob: :bob:
I give it five Bobs.

Re: Tronographic Rusty Box
i've come to the point of wanting a rusty box enough to start investing heavy resources into it...
I'm glad it is working out for you.

It is a well-built solid great sounding pedal. No reservations about recommending it.

Re: Tronographic Rusty Box
YAY!! Just ordered this!! Very excited. I am hoping to use it as my main "not mellow / classic" bass tone, and as a keyboard DI for my wife to replace bringing a heavy ass bass amp every time. YAY!! Very happy! Don't know what else to say, just hope it gets here relatively soon so i don't slit my wrists in anticipation.
to my ears based on the clips, there is something similar going on between this weston tone (which i am largely unfamiliar with) and Fumi's bass tone in POLYSICS (one of my favorite bass players), and to some extent Nikki from silversun pickups.

I love my Rusty Box. It's actually the only thing that's got in the way of me using my Sunn Coliseum 880. So, now, I use the Sunn as a power amp with the Rusty Box going into the effects return. It's just flat out insane with 4 15's. My band has a recording on our myspace that gives a rough impression of the brute force available with the Rusty Box.
