I ponder making the Cleanness again... I miss it, it was a good pedal and a good pal to other pedals. I think that even though the Elements contains the Cleanness it doesn't always get used for that cause it's too busy in high gain mode. I wouldn't mind making the Cleanness again but I don't know if it would go over well... we actually only ever sold a couple hundred of those.

Shannon, you are one heck of a cool older brother... I think that's a pretty badass Xmas gift! *smile* Thanks again and I hope he digs it.. holler at me if he doesn't, we could try a Frazz.

I absolutely love and would purchase a Cleanness again in a heartbeat Ryan! And that's exactly the deal with the Elements, just so good with the gain that I neglect it's Cleanness capabilities.

I can see how the Cleannes may get overlooked in a market packed with crazy mod and dirt and fuzz and delay and octave etc, etc but it was and amazing little thing, so well designed with all the essential controls and powerful EQ to maintain and improve the tonez. And yeah, it paired well with anything, used to blast the bejesus out of everything my Cleanness or just balance my clean volumes out when I finally kicked the fuzz off. One of those pedals that you had to own/try to truly appreciate it's simple greatness.

Haha, thanx Ryan, I try. And rest assured, he'll LOVE The Elements. I know this cuz he borrowed mine for so friggin' long I had to eventually go repossess that thing!

Build the Cleanness again! Build the Cleanness again!

*gets torches and hits the streets to rouse the other villagers*

Burn the Cleanness down!

Geeez Chank, that got out of hand fast!

You know the thing about making the Cleanness again is that the boxes cost a lot of money and we have to buy them up front and then we barely sell any Cleannesses... that's the Frazzes story too... so I don't know about it... but I do want to make it again, I miss that lil guy.

I don' want to fill up the forum with Dr. Sci flipping but I saw this and have not seen another like it.

As far as The Cleanness goes, I think it's a similar story with what Brian might say about the Sparkle Motion (though I may be totally off). I haven't played a cleanness but I have played a SM and it was a fantastic pedal but I hint subtle or "enhancement" effects are a hard market, because people tend to buy based on wanting to achieve a specific sound. It can really be difficult selling effects that people think won't be noticed, even though I think effects that mix well is better than effects that stick out sorely. :idk:

I think we did two like that with the Kanji (is that the right word? apologies if not) and a few with just a cool font in English.

Great points there, Tyler, I agree.. subtlety and/or utility can be a tough sell. The Cleanness was pretty far from subtle though, it was an active eq so it could dramatically alter your frequencies and had a lot of clean boost available.. it was powerful and worked really well to alter your tone or alter your fuzz/dist pedals or even an amp channel since you could de-gain it with the Cleanness.

Totally an enhancement pedal though hey.. used to change something make something better that already exists... not as dramatic as stepping on a fuzz box... mind you, having said that, we've not sold many more Frazzes than Cleannesses anyway...

I still think I want to make it again... I miss it! And I like what it does and its name!

Oh, well. Gotta build what sells.

Limited production run perhaps?

Only worry there is how much more expensive a limited run could be, since you don't get such things as what quantity may discount.

Yep, true.

I kinda liked my idea of combining The Cleanness circuit with Dr. Ryantist's potentially wacky compressor.
