Glad this got dug back up. I've had my eye on a Rub A Dub build for a bit. I just built a Multiplex this week, which is an awesome circuit. It makes me want to build the Rub A Dub even more.

could someone explain to me what the value of the pot for the volume knob changes? like using a 100k vs a 25k vs a 500k

It honestly depends on the circuit and where the volume knob is placed. In this application, it is replacing a resistor of a similar value. In other applications, like a standard volume pot to ground, 100k suffices. It really honestly just depends on the circuit though

In addition to the volume mod, you can also add a tone knob.
Replace one of the two 10k resistors at the output (R12 or R13) with a B10k pot with a 33nf cap going to ground. I haven't done this yet myself but plan to when I finally get an enclosure for this thing hopefully in a week or so.

guys, does it matther (for the volume mod) which lugs i wire to from the r15 points?

i want to use a dpdt instead of a pot for tone control. bright and dark... would this work/be noticeable do you think?
