Yeah, that's another thing I didn't mention. The two highest strings look like they're way too short to be used on this instrument. I definitely wouldn't play it like that. I think he needs to find some more appropriate strings to string this up with.

Skip it. The whole thing looks wonky to me, and if you're seeing inconsistencies with the description and pics now, you could end up with a train wreck when/if it arrives.

And besides. What you really want to do is get a vintage modified offset and slap a baritone conversion neck on it.

I think skullservant's GAS has already moved on to something else.

For a hundred bucks I might roll the dice, but a no guarantee hackjob...well..I don't have enough time left in my life to risk what would buy something fun, cheap, and serviceable in the same range.

Could just basically do exactly what he's done with a conversion neck and known good parts for not a whole lot more when push comes to shove if you parted out a cheap Tele to start.

It fucking sucks man. Seriously like an addiction or some studpid shit. Ideally I'd really like to end up with a Baritone or Bass VI tele, just SOMETHING extended scale. If things work out like I'm hoping I might have a parts tele with a baritone neck before too long. Buh.

Save up for this:

That's what I'm gonna do. I don't think there's still any word on when this'll be available, but I want one.

Parts Tele with a baritone neck'd be OK too.

You're weird because you're weird.

Yeah, that clip sounded smooth, but you've gotta take it in context.

No bass company man at a NAMM show is gonna sound anything like Aen. That guy's playing clean through a bass amp at low volume. Imagine that thing with a bunch of pedals through a cranked tube stack.

Cool... but I DO NOT like the idea of a 5 way switch on a bass VI.

Get one of those VM Tele Special bodies, loaded. Then slap a baritone neck and a bigsby on it. Tele VI+trem+Jazzmaster pickup in the neck.

Looking into a single humbucker in the neck with nothing in the bridge, but to make the humbucker tappable so that I could still have single coils if I wanted!

84s on my 30" VI works fine. Even in D standard, holmes.

Think I’d have to add another switch for full 7 way combos and maybe series/parallel switching too.
Ok I’m weird too.
Still kick myself for not buying the Lake Placid blue bass VI for $150 because I hated the color.
