Makes sense to me...

He wouldn't say that. The phone call'd be like:
"Hey, it's Kyle, who's there?"
"Mrrhmhmhmblgrmh?"
"Dude, J, is that you?"
"Hmrm"
"So, what's up?"
"Hrm hrmmhmhmhmhmhlblhrm hrm hrm."
"No shit? Awesome, man. Always wanted to be on stage next to you."
"Hrmrm HrmHRM."
"Waht?"
"HrmHRM!"
"I think I need to poo."
Hahaha yeah yours is the more accurate depiction. Mine would be Aziz Ansari's interpretation
Shiit, you guys funny

After reading this thread yesterday I went and found the schematic Jerms made of the Sam Ash Fuzz-Stainer. Tooootally building one!

Is "attack" another name for an external bias knobber in place of the trim pot in the original?

Just watched the video and yeah definitely sounds like they moved the bias trimmer to a knob on the front for the "attack".
I forgot about this circuit when I was ordering parts yesterday but I'll probly make one next week. I'm really interested in this circuit. Just Nick's video was great btw thanks
