I've had an Agile Al-3000 and an Agile 828 8 string..... I liked them better then any non custom or deluxe gibson I've played

Hit it Aaron.... Hit it hard. I want one of the black baritone Al series with the maple fretboard... total sechs.
BUT like everyone else said, replace the pickups, they are cheapies to help keep cost down. The owner knows that pretty much everyone who would be buying one would be swapping out pickups anyways so that's one of the places where he cut costs.

Actually, I think that gold top looks pretty nice too.
I tend to gravitate towards instruments at either end of the quality range and since I can't afford the expensive ones...

I know agile has been talked about, but has anyone tried an SX hollowbody,
such as this:
http://www.rondomusic.com/eg6cusna.htmlor a guitar fetish hollowbody for around the same price,
such as this?:

It's all good as long as you pronounce it Ah-Gee-Lei.
Say it out loud. Softly.

i know several Gretsch forum people who really like the Agiles. i'd seriously consider one--i especially am attracted to the semi-hollow 12-strings--but that fucking awful typeface on the headstock makes me ill. sorry, i'm a typographer. the headstock shape doesn't bother me nearly as much...i like to refer to it as the Hagstrom's Big Boy design. they periodically stock a LP-style model that only needs a Bigsby for the full Neil Young effect, with a neck P90 and a bridge Firebird PU and trapeze tailpiece which has sorely tempted me, and i also like the single-PU goldtop.

I can't tell if this is cool or not. And if I can't tell right away, my guess is no:

Or this one for $200:
