they are TITS. the Mikro looks fucking awesome. i'd actually be into a Mikro/iPad/Midi Keys setup for either this project (we went with the name Blood Party. i LIKE it.) or a noise solo thingy. so much GOOD.

:thumb: Dude, have you ever played bass pedals? I found it pretty amazing that after a few minutes I was able to play my bass and play bass pedals together :thumb:

I have animoog and maschine on my ipod touch as well as 20 other synth apps. Get a cheap pawn shop midi controller and you saved your self $600 for not getting a ipad. My ipod touch was $80 at the pawn shop.

That way I'll have a good excuse to rub my butt up against things or people or tentacles or something.

Meow.

I wouldn't buy an Ipad personally. They are just gimmicky shit that will loss value soon when the next one rolls out in what October? Either A)wait until a new one hits B)bang your singer or C)bang your drummer.

Sorry. I don't have much useful to actually say other than penis, penis, penis.

I got one of these for my iPod... I never use the two together but I have used the hell out of that little shitty keyboard...

interrrsting.

well, at $200 for the ipad2's, and they're plenty fast for what i want to do with 'em, i'd rather drop the extra coin for the bigger touch screen interface. Animoog and Kaossilator especially would benefit from that i think.

gawd. i would bang my singer AND drummer so hard. but i'd want to stack them on top of each other. so they could each taste the runoff juices from the other. a prelude of what's to come and all.

beat part? if i shared that thought they would.... mostly understand. dunno how much they'd be INTO IT, but i doubt it would surprise or bother them that i'd be very happy to perform that..... goodness.

yerp. just watched that Akai vid. would have pretty much that without the docked ipod. the ipad's ARE faster too, so a little more processing power is goot. i like then big screens too.

i'm REALLY liking the ipad3. makes me feel a bit derty to like apple shit so much. it is SO not worth the $770 it was after tax. maybe $400? but it was a gift so i didna feel that money pinch.

this is a quick sketch out idea on the Maschine app at like 4 am last night when i couldna sleep.....

yeah. you can do glitchier shit with the synth, and then play mad effected Squarepusher shit against it on the bass. or get that dissonant Third Eye Foundation thing going.

i used to know a guy over in Oakland who DJed and added live bass. he was quite good, and had some 12s that got exposed in the rave scene back around 01/02 and got played in Europe and shit.

i need to get the keyboard out more. i have a decent Casio that my ex gave me as a birthday present back when she still liked me which is all (tweakable) presets , but it does MIDI out so with a sound module/modules it could be a decent setup since it'll map to multiple MIDI parameters. it's just a huge pain to program because it's back to scrolling through a fuckin' 8-bit interface like it's 1988 all over again.

that's what i love about the synths and instruments in GarageBand...MENUS. pull down menus, and dialog boxes. i never appreciated a graphical user interface so much until it was gone. see, other than some early experience on network terminals i've been on Macs since 1990, so the GUI is my nativve environment. i've never had to type a command line in my life except in an emergency situation when i was using recovery software. so to sudddeny be cast back to the hell of the HR-16 style interface was like going back to Corieggedor.
