Re: 2 Recommendations: Tremolo and Reverb
In your price range:
Trem: old smaller Catalinbread Semaphore w/o the tap, although they're getting harder to find.
Reverb: Verbzilla or TCE Trinity/HoF depending on what type of "shimmer" you want. I always miss Line 6 reverb when I don't have it, but damn does their shit not vibe with my board.

I highly recommend the Menatone Pleasure Trem 5000. Hard chop + excellent sound quality + top-mounted jacks = WIN!

Yeah i definitely have an older version of the Pleasure Trem. Pretty versatile for a small box trem and you can find them used for under $120.

Buy my Seppuku Repeater! Based on the Vox Repeat Percussion, not quite as wide a range as the EQD Hummingbird but still pretty rad. And I've never really noticed any serious volume loss.

Oh yeah, I saw that the other day. Any interest in an Ibanez DE7 plus cash?

A good square wave trem is exactly what I'm looking for I suppose.

Now to just wait for there to be one used floating around...
lol good luck with that. Because of how long Strymon pedals take to acquire direct, people usually re-sell them for more than the retail price.

Re: 2 Recommendations: Tremolo and Reverb
i WISH my PT 5000 had top-mounted jacks; it would make it a little easier to squeeze MOAR onto my board. it also doesn't do the kind of Spacemen 3 Vox thing i thought the OP was after where you can vary the pulse width as well as the duty cycle, though it's a very nice square/triangle wave box that's notable for its lack of tonal coloration.
