The first time I said I didn't like The Mars Volta everyone in my vicinity flipped out and went on a rant about how they are the best band they have ever heard and how they are all amazingly talented. I agreed with them about being talented but i have and always will think At The Drive-In is superior.

TMV are one of my favourite bands, i've seen them twice and would gladly see them again. I also enjoy At the Drive-in and De Facto quite a bit.

Personally I dig their stuff, yet it can be difficult to listen to at times. Though I don't think there is any denying Thomas Pridgen is a sick drummer...there were some crazy fills/beats in the bedlam in goliath.
