Here's the demo that sold me on it:

Yeah, it's pretty awesome. I kinda wanted one before I even heard it on guitar. There were a few good demos with organ, but after I heard Burg's demo I knew i had to have one. I've found it to be a touch on the finicky side because most of my guitars have fairly low output pickups, but other than that it's great.

Oh I guess this is also important info: I asked the Strymon guys what the turnover rate for the Lex is and they are "still back ordered the full 10 weeks"...

The Boss also has stereo ins and outs ...

And it also has a univibe model in addition to the 3 rotary speaker models

There's a comparison video of the Lex and the Ventilator. In headphones, the Lex sounds really awesome, but the Ventilator really seems to dwarf it.
Anybody ever party with a DLS RotoSIM? Seems to have a fair amount of features, and price-wise matches the Lex.

It's funny because there was a Lex vs Ventilator thread on TGP, and someone said:

somedudeonTGP wrote:The Ventilator is better , but not $200 bucks better.

Which is such an un-TGP thing to say

Yeah, I think BCBC got to the crux of it. If you need the best Leslie simulator, you get the Ventilator. It's not that versatile, it's just a Leslie simulator. If you want something more phasery, more Uni-Vibey, more than just rotating speakery, you get something that might cover all those bases and also cost less. (Especially if you're a heavy effects user. I feel that a lot of the nuances of the Ventilator get lost as you start pairing it with more and more effects. So, it kinda depends what you want.)

None of them really sound like being in the same room as a Leslie or a Vibratone though. You don't get that movement out of a pedal unfortunately. Not saying you can't record perfectly well with one though.

I like mine old skool.
Maestro PS-1A / Multivox Full Rotor
Although I've got a couple of nice modern vibe clones: Viva Analog Opto-Vibe / Paisley Vibra Fuzz, which has the bonus of a MkI Tone Bender built in.

Anyone tried the Destination Rotation ? Demo sounds pretty good...

Okay.....more along the univibe
MojoVibe vs. Skreddy paradigm Shift?

Any thoughts?

StopRef's got a Mojo Vibe in B/S/T right now. Looks pretty nice and so does the price.

There's also a Skreddy PS on b/s/t, which why I asked. I keep going back to that Strymon video however.
I really to find a shop that has at least has the fulltone and the roland and compare......

The Skreddy PS seems pretty fresh too.

Oh, yeah, I forgot about that.

Burgs makes everything sound good:

IDK, it's a tough choice. They're both supposed to be great pedals.

+1 on the boss rotary ensemble.

It sounds freaking awesome, great features.

This is one effector which smashes the boteek competition.

Edit: Vibes and Leslies are not the same at all!!!

For Leslie-sims:
I had the DLS and didn't like it. It is very tweakable, yes, but on all settings you can only get it to sound like a chorus pedal, not a rotary speaker. Very one-dimensional.

Next I had the Option 5 Destination Rotation Single. Way better than the DLS, more realistic. It sounds good but you can tell it's a simulation. Lacking a bit of low-end maybe.

Now I have the Tech21 Roto Choir that gets very little mention on the forums, I don't know why. It is by far the best and most realistic of the three, I don't feel the need for anything else anymore.

This is just my personal opinion.
Have never played the Lex or Ventilator.
