Great minds, etc.?
Haha I should dip my toe into video demos to show off the above discovery, which I of course made the day before I go out of town for a week.

Not true analog but the EQD Disaster Transport is pretty swell. Modulates, has a tone control and can sound percussive and dark which I like.
Almost pulled the trigger on an Endangered Audio Delay that was on ebay for $300.00 a few weeks ago but got cold feet.
I own an Endangered Gristleizer and can vouch for the quality of the build.

DMM or a DM-2
Although the Retro-Sonic is really nice if you must have a new boutique delay.
Depends on what you're going to use it for though, and how many bells and whistles you need.

Get on the Echoczar wait-list and you'll be good when you become a grandparent.
In the meantime.... see all previous suggestions.

The EAR is interesting, and it sounds cool, but not for that kind of money. just didn't blow me away like i NEED to have it. maybe I'm weird like that, but it didn't sound like $400 of pedal to me.

Most of them don't. The builders get away with "well, the cost of the NOS BBD chips are SSSsssooooo pricey"
If someone is in the $400+ range already, they should just spend the $725 for the Echoczar. I would have scoffed at a ped that cost that OBSCENE amount.....until I played one. WOW.

So here's where I stand. I basically sold off all my pedals. Now I'm looking at a Algal Bloom, a Mellowtone cc/dc, and a tuner. This thread and some demos have made me think that getting a Disaster transport Jr. seems like a good idea...I'd have a ton of money left over to rebuild my board too...seems like the most cost effective solution, plus i REALLY WANT a Quantum Starlight. I blame you and nobody else Excane.

*runs for cover*
I didn't particularly like the transport or the dispatch master. They're voiced a little too dirty for me and it's.....kinda funky. I don't know how else to explain it.
I'm gonna add one more suggestion.... the Subdecay Echobox. I REALLY dig it, one of my fav dig delays. It's clean and clear enough that doesn't get lost but still sounds really natural.

Echobox Love!!!!
It has destroyed all competitors- It is my main delay sounds
I now set my time bender and Ghost Disaster for out there type tones and the echobox does the dirty work
It has destroyed modded AD9's Memory Boys, my trusty DL10 The DOD Anolog and Digital Offerings, pretty much everything, If a second came up on BST I would probably try to snag it, the guy I bought mine from replaced it in a week, it's that good. And the trails let you throw it into oscillation, dial it back and have a wash of sound you can play over forever,

Hellz yeah.... if only they added the second footswitch like the lunar for wacked out, take-off magic.
Or tap tempo.
Or to turn on/off the modulation ala the EQD.
Either way, it's REALLY good.

Yeah a few small features would take it from really good to legendary, maybe we can get a deluxe version with tap tempo and a warp switch.
being able to hear the difference from buffered to true bypass just with the flick of a switch is mind opening
