excane wrote:You do not "clean" pedals - You stomp on them..... HARD. The more force, the better.

They should be nicely bruised, battle-scarred, and road-worn.

Let the blood, dirt, dust, semen, and shit forever tell a story of where the pedal has been....what it's conquered....the women it has raped.... and the horses that it stole.

Yeah.... but some pedals are like a piece of art... or have some sentimental value to them... I wouldn't want them to get fucked up because of some drunk dumb ass spilling is cheap dirty beer all over the place.
But some dirty workhorse pedals need some battle scars to look cool.

and blood and feathers. :erm: But I have always cleaned those since I understand it'd be a little too much for many.

Only time I ever clean pedals is if I'm taking pictures to try and sell it, and like Psyre I just use compressed air.

I found dusting them lightly with MSG helps the smell and the taste.

My gig board gets sweaty and dirty like shit. I try not to look that hard on it. So i do not have to clean it early.
When i clean the board, i hoover it and afterwards clean the pedals with disinfection (and old socks, t-shirts, business shirt etc.).
If stuff is only dusty, those antistatic duster are wonderful.

Schlatte wrote:How do you guys/do you clean your boards/pedals? I usually just vacuum the board and swipe the pedals with a moist cloth. But not every time I clean, just like.. every time I clean and the board looks dirty/dusty. :idk:
If I get a pedal used or in a trade or buy an old pedal and it's dirty, I usually take the knobs off and clean it with a very soft brush and maybe a soft, small towel.
