What are you practicing with? If you've got a bass amp with enough power and speaker that'll pump enough lows, for this duo setup of yours a biamped deal might work with a guitar amp covering the mids and the bass amp acting like a subwoofer. Eq the bass amp so all the energy goes into pushing bass and the guitar amp so as not to endanger the speakers with the low frequency excursion. Cheaper than buying a new rig if plausible, which means moar money for moar fuzz.

Otherwise, the suggestions above are all solid.

For inexpensive and reliable a used Peavy TNT.
They sound good and are usually loud enough for general use.
