I thought the black one sounded better than the NYC ones. I just tried out all the fuzzes they had at GC and my black muff was my favorite so I got it, and I think it was about $55 brand new at the time. That was like 5 years ago, and I just put that pedal back on my board yesterday and it fucking rules.
It sounds just like that on bass especially I run it into my fuck OD, but mainly I think you're supposed to turn it up really loud to get that
