I think the skychord stuff is awesome, though possibly a little bigger/more expensive than you may be looking for. I would say +1 for the electro faustus oscillator or photo theremin, or dwarfcraft thundering double squaresnakes, or, if you want a super simple noisebox, Atari punk console.
You also might just want to get a feedback looper. The devi ever eye of god is what originally led me to this forum in 2008...I waited months to receive the pedal, traded it after one week (my first bst transaction!) and the rest is history.
